DESIGN PROCESS
Weddings are one of the most beautiful seasons a couple goes through, but planning one can be a little overwhelming. Oh Que Sweet does it best to give you a special experience, while easing the process. From the moment you inquire, we gather all information needed, book consults to discuss your wedding cake vision, and provide you a wedding cake sketch so you can envision your wedding cake. You will only ever be contacted by Maria to assure a straight-line communication. I'll listen intently to make sure I understand what you love and what I should I avoid. I literally become your cake bestie!
THE PROCESS
STEP ONE
As soon as you decide on your date and venue, send me a message! I tend to book up at least 3-4 months out. Firstly, we will check to make sure the date is available. You can send me an email or submit a contact form. I normally respond within 24 hours with the exception of weekends. If I am available on the date you are inquiring I will send you some follow up questions to understand the logistics of your wedding along with what you envision for your wedding cake. I will provide you an initial pricing quote based off the information you submitted.
STEP TWO
If you decide that I am a good fit and would like to move forward; you can secure your date with a $150 non-refundable retainer fee. I will then set up a video consultation to discuss the details of your wedding. During this time, I will cover color palettes, flavors, what to expect, talk over numbers, recommendations, and style elements you are envisioning for your wedding cake.
If you opt in for me to design your wedding cake, I will provide you a sketch based off our conversation so that you can envision your wedding cake. During this time you will be able to make any adjustments, if needed.
Let's not forget to try some cake! I will book you in for a complementary cake tasting box (for weddings over $400) which will contain a selection of my most popular flavors for you to try in the comfort of your own home. I offer cake tasting boxes every other month with the exception of October, November & December.
Should you wish to try the cake before booking, the cake tasting box cost $45 and is available on the same dates as my booked clients.
STEP THREE
Eight weeks before your event, I will contact you to start finalizing your wedding cake details. Four weeks before your event the final balance is due.
During this time, I will be in contact with your wedding planner or coordinator to start coordinating a time of delivery, as well as your florist.
On your wedding day, I will arrive at your venue on the agreed upon time and finish setting up your cake in a timely manner.
Now, all you have to do is enjoy your wedding day and eat some tasty cake!
